Have a GREAT weekend!!

No posts for a day or two. I have a couple of girlfriends coming up to visit for the weekend. I know for a fact we'll be doing some scrapbooking so I'll have pictures to post later. I was suppose to do a workshop this weekend but had to postpone it because my order didn't come in from SU. Actually it's on backorder. That's ok though. I'll reschedule it and it'll be great.
Hope you all have a great and safe Superbowl weekend!

Shower Invitation Sample...

I was invited today by my Sister-In-Law to help plan a baby shower for my other SIL who's due in August (so excited for them). I knew right away the invitation I wanted to make. So I went searching for the card I saw on one of the MANY, MANY blogs I surf daily. I found it at the fabulous Lauren Meaders blog. So I'm still a month or so away from having to start these, but wanted to see if I could even do them. So this is just my first sample card. I plan to make them a little bit more elaborate with some embellishments...when we find out what she's having. Well...If we find out what she's having. But it turned out cute anyway and it was SO SUPER easy. Laurens very good at explaining how she does things...that's a huge relief for me.

I'm a stickle fanatic. Love the stuff!

Spring Inspiration...

While I was looking through all the fabulous blogs I love to read, I saw a card that just made me smile. Not to mention it was in my favorite colors, Blue & Yellow. So thanks to Michelle Wooderson over at Mish Mash, I created this.

Of course I made a set of 6 to use for my 'Create to Cure Cancer' fundraiser.

Check out this Contest...

Not completely scrapbook related, but if you LOVE to read, you should check out the 'Blaze of Beauty' link to the left. There's a ton of prizes that she gives away EVERY month including a Stampin' Up set worth $25 from me. Go check it out!!!

Birthday Card...

'Adhereing' to my New Years goals (excuse the pun-LOL!), I made this set of cards with mostly scraps I had left over from other projects. Except for the card base.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Fun & Fast Notes stamp set (cake): # 113500
Card base in Sahara Sand: # 105328
Big Bold Birthday (Make a Wish): # 114926
Word Window Punch: # 105090
I stamped the cake with Basic Black and colored it in with the SU Blender Pen which I LOVE using the 'In Color' stamp pads colors: Baja Breeae, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss.

Another Love You Much card...

I really LOVE this stamp set. I just can't seem to stop working with it. I pull out other sets but always end up putting it back and getting these out. Must be the time of year huh? I've also had this ribbon (the 1 1/2" flowered one) for over a year and have never used it. So I chose my colors around the ribbon.

Forgive the picture quality. My other camera is out in the car and it's raining like crazy! We totally need the rain so I'm not complaining one bit.

Supplies:
Pixie Pink Cardstock: # 105121
Pink Passion Cardstock: # 102762
Whisper White Cardstock: # 100730
Love You Much Stamp set: # 113756
Boho blossoms punch: # 110711
(off brand ribbons and Stickles for the glitter)

3 card sets for my 'Create to Cure Cancer' fundraiser...

So yesterday I spent ALL DAY (9am to 10pm) with my good friend here in Bakersfield. It was her 29th (AAAAchoooooyeahright37th! Oh bless me!)birthday. And she wanted an "It's my birthday and I'll crop if I want to" day with her friends. So we did...all day. It was fun and relaxing and I didn't check my email one time yesterday. So lot's of catching up to do today. Ha! But that's OK.

So yesterday I started making card sets for my team fundraiser for Relay For Life. I made 3 sets with 6 cards. I love how they turned out. I used mostly Stampin' Up products and some My Minds Eye papers along with SU paper as well. Enjoy!

A layout for little Miss Phoebe...

NOTE TO SELF: Go get a scanner!!! These stinkin' layouts just don't photograph as well as cards. I know, I know! It's the operator. LOL!! Enjoy!

Love You Much Valentines Mailbox

This is a cute template from Stampin' Up. I did one for Christmas and it's even cuter for Valentines.
All Stampin' Up Supplies:

Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (#113980)

A quick Birthday Card...

I threw this together this morning for a party my daughter had to attend. I got my insiration from the challenge that I posted on the 11th. Again, I can't say enough how grateful I am that these wonderful ladies put these things out there for the scrap/card challenged such as myself. They are my inspiration.

2 New Layouts

I got together with some of my girlfriends from my scrapbook group I have here. I had such a good time just cropping and watching soaps, chit chattin' and having pizza. I was able to complete a challenge that Katie gave to us on our MeetUp group. It had to be a page about 'YOU'. Not your family, not your pets, YOU! Here's what I came up with. (Excuse the picture quality AGAIN! One of these days I have to bite the bullet and get a new scanner. Until then you have to deal with me taking pictures of them).

Thanks Katie for the challenge. However, I can still count on 1 hand how many layouts there are with me on them. You're so right, the moms always are behind the camera and never infront of it.

And I was finally able to find all the other pictures of Rebecca with Santa so I was able to do one last layout of Christmas stuff before I move onto other things.

Sketch Challenge...

So I decided (kind of like my New Years resolution) that this year I wanted to make MORE cards this year. On a lot of the other blogs I read, the wonderful ladies put up challenges for you to do, so I'm going to do them. Hopefully at LEAST one a week if not more. I redid my scrapbook corner here and added another table for more work space. Made it more user friendly for myself. I had a whole room to myself in our other house and here I have to share half of it with my dear Joe. I really like to spread out so I was feeling a bit clausterphobic with just my desk. Now I've doubled my workspace and getting that creative itch I've been missing since we've moved here.

Here's the challenge from i{heart}2stamp. One of my favorite sites to get ideas from...or should I say 'Scraplift' from!

And here's my card.

Not really diggin' the color of the flowers. Doesn't really go with the colors in my paper. That's what I get for already adhereing it on before coloring it. Oh well. I'm going to send this to my sister Lisa in Texas!
